15 free things at Walt Disney World

We all love a freebie. Even better if it’s at Walt Disney World. Here are 15 free things you will find there.

1. Disney Springs

Newly reimagined and filled with over 70 shopping, dining and entertainment options Disney Springs is one of the best free places to visit on Disney World property. Grab the free bus from your Disney hotel or park your car for free.

2.Boardwalk

Giving the feel of a 1920’s Eastern seaboard this beautiful relaxed area of Walt Disney World is home to entertainment, dining and shopping. Take a stroll along the Boardwalk, people watch or relax at the waters edge while watching the sunset.

3.Fireworks

You don’t have to be inside the parks to enjoy the fireworks. Head to the beach section of the Polynesian resort and find a spot to watch the beautiful night time spectacular from the Magic Kingdom.

4.Badges/Buttons

Located at guest services and inside the Disney Hotels you can ask and collect the free buttons. If your celebrating, having a birthday, have just got married or its your first time to Walt Disney World you can pick up your free badge.

5.Monorail

The monorail is a great free way to get around the Disney area. They don’t just stop at the parks. Ride the monorail and visit the Polynesian resort and enjoy a dole whip. Explore the Grand Floridian or taste the unique cupcakes at the contemporary resort.

6.Free Lei

If your at the Polynesian resort be sure to ask for a Lei. These beautiful garland of flowers are given for free and make a lovely memento from your travels.

7.Chip and Dale’s campfire sing-along

Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort hosts nightly campfires with the cheeky chip and dale. Roast marshmallows on the fire while watching a Disney classic on the big outdoor screen.

8.Club cool at Epcot

Drink as much free fizzy soda as you like. Take a taste of the different varieties from around the world. Don’t forget to try the Beverly.

9.Autographs

Meet and interact with your favourite Disney characters. Pick up an autograph book from one of the Disney stores and see how many autographs you can get.

10.Free balloons

Ask at the front desk of your Disney hotel for the free balloons that they offer. Please note that these are not given at Animal Kingdom Lodge due to the safety of their animals.

11.Transportation and collectors cards

Travel by bus, monorail or boat and ask the driver for the free transportation cards. These are sometimes openly available without asking. See if you can collect them all.

12.Sorcerers of the magic kingdom game

Head to the main street fire station inside Magic Kingdom and collect your free sorcerers of the magic kingdom cards. The game takes you around Magic Kingdom locating 20 magic portals in your attempt to halt Hades and face many Disney villains.

13.Professional photographs

If you book your tickets through Attraction Tickets Direct you will currently receive for free the Disney Memory Maker, saving $199.

14.Boat rides

Sail along the seven seas lagoon, Crescent lake and Sassagoula river with the complimentary Walt Disney World transportation. Relax and unwind as you cruise along the water ways taking in the beautiful Disney landscaping.

15.Grand Floridian Society Orchestra

From 4pm – 10pm every night the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra perform in the lobby playing out their alluring music. From tradition jazz to the famous Disney classics it is so enjoyable to take a seat and enjoy this nightly performance.
